ABOUT GEGAR-U
The International College of Music (ICOM) is a project partner to Yayasan Budi Penyayang on the UNITY IN MUSIC segment of GEGAR-U. The project is showcasing 50 years of Malaysian independence and unity and what better way than music to bring out the message across the nation. ICOM (International College of Music) is the sole sponsor of the music segment towards this project taking place all around Malaysia in different universities and malls from May to August, encouraging students to express their commitment to unity through music.
The college's sponsorship involves the provision of turn key solutions in hosting music band competitions across the 16 participating institutions of higher learning across Malaysia. The competition is open to all registered students of the 16 participating universities across Malaysia. Students must participate as a music band with minimum three (3) members and maximum six (6) members only and perform either an original song or a cover song (already published song) with the lyrics based on unity, love and togetherness. Yayasan Budi Penyayang will work with the Student Affairs Office of these Universities to encourage student participation.

This blog shall cover or try to cover (if possible with a help of regular on-site photographer) all the events that will be held at the various venues and shall focus on the production crew in all their innocence and working maneuvers.
