ONE UTAMA 7TH JULY 2007

This was One Utama, a shopping mall in Damansara where Gegar-U setup its stall and the ICOM band played to anyone who entered the mall or the crowd that was gathered there. There were performances from Fieldplayers and Zailan Razak's percussion group featuring his son Daniel. It was a day filled with performances and activities; a tiresome day because there were too many waiting sessions before the various groups played their sets. Marketing from ICOM was going on in full swing with brochures being distributed and folks counseled on taking a course at ICOM. Zailan's group as always got the crowd going and hooked as the various members performed on their instrument hitting those perfect rhythmic hooks. Shopping malls are always easier to handle in terms of production, nevertheless the crew is always working constantly. Another mall down, and all the crew said 'Amen!'
